The Site Visit

Year: 2020.
Type: Global Planning, Housing, Environmental Assessment
Project Team: Albert Orozco and Foster Turcott.

The United States Geological Survey has predicted long term effects of climate change to include a decrease in sea ice and an increase in permafrost thawing, an increase in heatwaves and heavy precipitation, and decreased water resources in semi-arid regions across our seven continents. The Site Visit speculates the more extreme long-term effects of climate change on our planetary terrain and atmosphere in the year 2230. This series juxtaposes future environmental outcomes with its extreme scenario: moving towards outer environments beyond the earth’s sky.
